People at PCC who have been unresponsive for so many months that I suspect that they may have passed away due to Covid…

Possibly, Joanne Snowdon and, apparently also, the entire offices staff?

As I mentioned in one of my comments, the last time I checked, which was about a week ago or so, the Civic Offices are still closed to the public, with the exception of the cashier’s office and for payments only, so the lifting of some corona virus restrictions has had no effect yet in this respect.

So there must be a huge staffing problem?

I am so sorry for your loss, folks. I wish you hadn’t listened to Boris Johnson when he said that there was no problem, at the start of 2020. It might have helped.

Yes, I am being sarcastic. What the hell is going on at PCC?

I’ve meanwhile stopped by again, left two more letters, and asked about what is happening. The building is still closed. Everyone is continuing to work from home – nothing wrong with that – and there are huge backlogs. The latter explains the silence, then. I feel sorry for them. I also feel sorry for my earlier sarcasm. But it also all means that I remain powerless in some respects.

For the record, in my home country, the registration of who’s been vaccinated, with what and how many times seems to be a bit of a mess at the moment.

We’re all struggling, some a little more than others.
