(Amended on 3 July)
On or around 30 June, I did spot your message with regard to the invoice you asked me for on 16 June when you sent me your draft paper. Unfortunately, I’d been having a lot of trouble accessing my e-mail for a few days, at various locations and on various pieces of equipment.
A day or so later, I was able to comply with your request and you have confirmed having received the revised invoice, which also lists the dollar amount as someone in your home countgry was having trouble converting pounds into dollars.
Funny, that is so similar to what happened at the end of 2019 and the start of 2020, when people I had been working with for over two decades suddenly had trouble dealing with pounds and euros and it seemed to me that their bookkeeping department had actually been hacked. I was receiving all these odd “payment confirmations” and what not, for example.
But it’s 3 July now and I’d like to have your final draft paper too, please! Anything I can do to help?
(Yes folks, in strrrange circumstances you sometimes have to do verrry strrrrrange things.)
