Feminism v human rights (and what it has to do with Ukraine)

Feminism is the radical notion that women are people.

It’s just as radical as the idea that human rights are about a lot more than the right not to be killed.

See how appallingly well these two radical notions combine?

Globally, 9 out of 10 humans still believe that women aren’t proper people.

Feminism is more than asking for the right not to be killed. Standing up for women and girls is more than asking for women and girls not to be killed.

It’s sort of like the UK government saying that it welcomes refugees from Ukraine and offering UK families a financial reward that is bigger than Universal Credit if they take a Ukrainian refugee into their home but making it very hard for Ukrainian refugees to come to the UK at the same time.

Know what I mean?
