This is classic sadistic stalking, also known as resentful stalking. It’s intended to make someone’s life a living hell. To control someone else.
It can manifest in various forms.
Be warned. This is not a funny video to watch. Someone died.
The victim in this video relocated several times to try to escape the stalking. In the end, she went to the police. Thankfully, they believed her and set up a trap. When they caught the stalker, the police discovered several other victims, including a colleague of the victim who reported the stalking to the police.
I’m aware of a sadistic stalking case that started in Gosport and Fareham (both bordering Portsmouth in county Hampshire, England, to the west). When the woman relocated, the man who’d become obsessed with her followed her. The guy is now in prison for life for having tried to kill his next victim by cutting her hand off. Nothing hilarious about that either.
And it was just as bizarre.
That guy for example broke into a woman’s home to take some of her birth control pills and then put them in a cup at her place of work.
Can you picture yourself telling someone else that this happened to you? It sounds so bizarre that it can’t possibly be true, right? The fact that these people do really bizarre things makes their victims sound unhinged if they talk about what is going on.
It’s part of the reason why they may even choose to start keeping it to themselves, all you fucking losers out there who are letting stalking targets down. What you do is akin to pretending that there is no war in Ukraine or having looked up to see the Twin Towers collapse and insisting that it wasn’t really happening and repeating that it never happened.
So when a Portsmouth-based builder and real-estate investor suggested that he and a local politician were doing this kind of stuff too, to drive me out of town because they didn’t like my new-fangled feminist and egalitarian ideas or whatever, he was making a much bigger fool of himself than he realized.
I’ve been the target of something like this (different, with lots of lock-picking, some animal cruelty and vandalism, lots of hacking, including deliberate business and income sabotage, a strange mix of positive and negative) for over 15 years.
The problem with these things is that it’s all so bizarre that people have a hard time believing you if you talk about it, if you try to share what is going on. You’re gonna sound like an unhinged idiot. If they do believe you, then they can start feeling uneasy and dismiss you for that reason. The husband of the woman who was living in Fareham deserted her over the stalking.
I was stuck in Portsmouth for a long time. I was often utterly terrified there and often stuck in deep poverty, with very little agency and my autonomy deliberately being eroded more and more and more. I didn’t know anyone there. Nobody wanted to help me. Between 2016 and now, I made five escape attempts. Now I am somewhere else where I don’t know anyone, a place that I visited once when I was 19. The lock-picking, the vandalism etc and the animal cruelty have stopped and, obviously, folks like Roger Downey and Lach Kermov are no longer loudly mocking me when they see me or barking bizarre nonsense at me, but the rest has largely continued.
Because I was not able to disappear without a trace and also because I had to continue using my existing phones and my tablet, but the latter isn’t even the full story.
A warning to people who used to know me in the past: some of you got hacked too and some of you may also have gotten voice-cloned. So if weird shit is happening in your life… it may have something to do with that (with my “it”).
