Retaliatory or intimidating attacks with explosives frequent cause of homelessness in the Netherlands

The Netherlands has an epidemic of attacks with explosives, possibly the Dutch counterpart to gun violence in the US.

Ordinary people whose home is attacked, damaged and declared unsafe to live in end up on the streets without support.

Victims are being punished for other people’s crimes.

This also applied to the Vlaardingen plumber’s case. After years of unexplained violence against him and his family, the police unable to do anything about it, he suddenly passed away. He was vilified and blamed for what others were doing.

It’s incomprehensible to me that there isn’t a thing that the police can do about these crazy and awful attacks. It’s completely off the charts.

This too illustrates why I want out of the country again. This country has gone nuts while I was in England. I have egg all over my face about me having lectured the English about my native country. It was never my favourite, but it used to be decent, safe and very well organised. People also used to be well supported here by the state. That is no longer the case.

(A humbling experience for me.)
