I think that this is fairly representative of the current state of the Netherlands, where people like Rutger Bregman are frowned upon and where looking away from injustice is becoming a favourite pastime.

That a “Free Palestine” protest in Amsterdam draws no more than 20 activists and many more police officers makes this quite clear, too.
