Hacking and spoofing activity

Continuing.

There’s been a bit of a flare-up since Thursday 12 October. Two days ago, I was feeling so rattled again that I went out for chocolate and a bottle of wine.

The flare-ups can be triggered by something as innocent as me signing a particular petition. In the past, it was sometimes a Twitter post. (I’ve been dealing with this for over 15 years. An example of such a Twitter post was a Muddy Waters tribute, in June 2023 it was a petition for a female English musician who was being hassled by the police and last week, it concerned a campaign about more support for autistic childern in schools.) The hacker sometimes reads “messages” in things that I do when those messages only exist in his mind.

There is also usually more activity in the run-up to Christmas (and sometimes Easter).

(Overnight, among other things, I received an email in response to something that I contacted an organization about a few years ago… In Portsmouth, I sometimes received local mail that had been delayed by up to 9 months, but I also sometimes received e-mails that were years late, in one case through a provider that didn’t even exist any longer at that point.)
