Life’s lessons are repeated until learned
Life’s lessons have to hurt badly 
Particularly if you’ve already had a pretty tough life
(because you’re too used to life being hard so, otherwise, you won’t notice the lesson and these lessons have to become ingrained in your whole body and being for them to be effective)
